Norven W. Storrs had started out in the industry by selling life and health insurance with his father in 1969. A few years later, Norven decided that he wanted to give the property and casualty side of the business a try and founded his own agency in 1973. We began operating under the name The Insurance Store in 1978, and over the years our customers have come to know us as many different names including Windmill Insurance, Daggett Insurance, Coastline Insurance, The General Store, Norven W. Storrs and several others. In May of 2009, Norven passed away due to health complications. After Norven's passing, his wife Cheryl Storrs took over the day to day operations of the business. In 2015 the agency was purchased by Brent and Tiffani Storrs Thunstrom, and the second generation of ownership was born. Storrs Insurance Group, Inc doing business as The Insurance Store is who we are today and our goal is to continue providing the same high level of service to our clients.
