The business was started in 1984 by Lillian Jent. The name JJ Insurance was in reference to Lillian's last name Jent. Her long time clients referred to her as Lil. Lillian was a true pioneer for women in an industry that was dominated by men. Prior to starting JJ Insurance Lillian ran the insurance department for Western Securities. Back in the 70's Western Securities was a large commercial lender in Denver. In 1984 Western Securities closed the office in Denver and Lillian started JJ Insurance in order to continue to take care of her insurance family of clients. JJ Insurance continues to practice the core values that were established by Lillian… We care for people like family!
