I have been an insurance agent for over 30 years. Prior to being an Independent Agent, I was previously a Captive Agent, meaning I could only write business through one specific carrier. Ten years ago I decided to go Independent as this gives me the availability to better serve the needs of my customers. I write through several different carriers, therefore, I am able to search different options versus one option. I still believe in the old fashion customer service. Which is always putting my customers first, and assisting them face-to-face if they wish. Some companies do not offer the face-to-face option anymore. Is all done electronically, and to me, when you are doing business I believe strongly that you should be able to reach a person directly.
