The original agency, Amalek, Inc. specialized in providing coverage for the industrial risks of the phosphate and citrus industries. From its early beginnings, the firm exhibited a unique ability to place difficult and unusual exposures…quickly setting itself apart from other agencies with an extraordinary level of creativity and a strong commitment to service. Steven Gibson joined his father's firm Steven Gibson joined his father's firm in 1985 to serve as Vice President and Director of Marketing. He provided the company with a new sense of direction and an unyielding commitment to growth. The agency became Gibson Insurance Group. With increased staff and resources, Gibson moved the firm to a more specialized focus with a strong emphasis on complex accounts.
