Discount Auto Insurance Agency began in 1987 by Robert Mitchell Sr. and Calvin Ray. Both partners worked in the insurance business for many years in companies such as Life of Georgia and American National. The two partners decided to venture out on their own and hence started Discount Auto Insurance Agency. Since then there have been several offices located throughout the metro Atlanta area. The agency has continued to grow with the entrepreneurial spirit of Robert Mitchell Jr. Robert Jr. first began working for Discount Auto in 1990. He excelled as an agent and made a decision to open his own agency in 1996. Robert now owns/operates three offices in East Point, Decatur and Forest Park.
