The idea for BlueStone Advisors was born late one night in 2010, over wine and a long discussion between our CEO, Tracy Rasmussen and President, Andrew Royce, about the recent transformation of the insurance industry, following the financial crisis and recent health care reform. The resulting M&A activity at this time (and even more so since) left clients with few options in terms of boutique firms based on building lasting relationships and servicing their customers at exceptional levels, with cutting-edge solutions. Driven by a love of the industry and two entrepreneurial spirits, they decided it was time. With Andy's expertise in the commercial brokerage space and Tracy's background in technology, finance, and operations, they started to build a vibrant, new brokerage firm, that is highly focused on personalized service and technological efficiencies.
