Homer L. Burt of Londonderry, OH founded this agency in 1942. Heber Stevens, Homer's brother-in-law purchased the agency on May 1, 1963. On November 1, 1986, the agency was sold to Ruth E. Bledsoe, Heber's daughter, and the agency became known as Bledsoe's Insurance. She worked as an agent until she semi-retired in 2007. On January 1, 2008, the agency transferred to Christina K. Bledsoe Knox, Ruth's daughter, and moved to the new location. Since taking over the business, Christina has worked hard to set up a website, Facebook Page, and even get licensed in other states. As of January 2015, Christina changed the name of the company to H.R.C. Insurance Specialists from Bledsoe's Insurance to incorporate herself and all previous owners.
