Smith & Sons Insurance Agency was established in 1923 by Walter M. Smith, of Roosevelt, OK. Walter borrowed $1,000 and moved to Lawton to open an agency for insurance and real estate business. Wayne, Walter's son, joined the agency and took the business to new heights. Wayne's sons, Clark and Jeff, both joined the agency in the late 70's and early 80's. Together they brought the business into the 21st century. Most recently, one of Jeff's sons, Ryan, joined the business.
