In 1954, James F. Saleme founded Saleme Insurance on a simple premise — treat people right and exceed their expectations. His son-in-law, Gerald Hymes, took on Jim's legacy of the customer always comes first, and continued to grow the agency. In 1993, a young agent named Barry D'Andrea began to work for the agency, and fell in love with and married his boss's daughter, Jennifer. Barry and Jennifer bought the agency in 2004 — and today Barry serves as our president, while Jennifer is our office manager. Three generations later, everyone at Saleme Insurance still believes in the principles of our founder.
