Our father, Tom Blews, opened the agency (then named Rupert-Blews Insurance) in Elderton, PA and in 1996 purchased the Hutton Agency in Marion Center, PA. After a couple of years he merged the two locations into Hutton-Blews Insurance and located it in Marion Center, PA. There he continued to grow the agency where it then employed 3 CSR's and a receptionist. Tom's daughter, Shannon, joined the agency in 2003 and his son, Jay, in 2005. On Jan. 1, 2011 Shannon and Jay purchased the agency from their father and continue to pursue profitable growth while providing small-town, personable service with the ease of all the high-tech tools available today. The agency now has 5 agents, the most pleasant receptionist in PA, a part-time outside producer and a full-time outside commercial producer.
