The Goldsmith-Theodore Agency was founded in June 1984. It was initially established as a division of the Wm. Goldsmith Agency, which had been an independent insurance agency in the upstate of South Carolina since 1884. Goldsmith-Theodore was developed to provide insurance services throughout the state of South Carolina and most of the southeast. This partnership allowed us to build a stable of financially sound, competitive, insurance markets unsurpassed by any other insurance agency, large or small. In 2007 we changed our name to Theodore & Associates, which better represents our local ownership and pride of association. ​In April of 2012, Theodore & Associates merged with Harrison, Fincher & Associates, based in Columbia since 1985. Harrison, Fincher & Associates focused on providing insurance services to small business and the private client personal lines sector, throughout South Carolina. They were one of the most respected insurance agencies in South Carolina.
