DuBose, founder of the agency specialized in fire and health coverage. At the death of J. O. DuBose, the agency was purchased by his brother, Whit M. DuBose in February of 1948. The agency was joined by his son, John C. DuBose, in May of 1959 and in 1980 by Desiree (Sissy) Mills, daughter of John C. DuBose. In June of 1990, a branch office was opened in Seguin, Texas, under the name of Seguin Insurance Agency.
