After receiving an Honorable Medical Discharge from the United States Army in 1996, I obtained my P&C and Life/Health agent's license and began working in an agency for a large insurance company in Texas. At the time, I was selling and servicing Auto, Home, Renter's & Life Insurance policies. In 2003 I went into property claims as a Large Loss Claims Examiner handling large homeowner fire & water losses along with other complex claims that were tied up in litigation. I later became the Claims Manager for an adjusting firm and worked the next six years managing adjusters through Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Ivan, Jean, Katrina, Rita, Ike & Irene.
